Captain Pete Ripley
Captain Pete Ripley grew up summers boating around the Boothbay Harbor Region from his family’s cottage at Ocean Point in East Boothbay. Capt. Pete started working on the waterfront of Boothbay Harbor in 1972 aboard the Linekin II and III. He ran the Argo for eight years for Boothbay Navigation. Next was the first Breakaway for thirteen years running charters from Monhegan to Casco Bay. The Maine State Record Bluefish was caught on the original Breakaway with Capt. Pete in 1994. Captain Pete is a Registered Maine Guide and also serves as the Harbor Master for the Town of Boothbay. When Capt. Pete is not on the water he operates Ripley Builders. Ripley Builders is a local construction and caretaking company.
Captain Nick Ripley
Captain Nick Ripley literally grew up on the waters of the Boothbay Region. First riding around with his dad on the Argo whenever he could, then as a mate on the Breakaway. Capt. Nick started full time on the waterfront working on the Breakaway, Balmy Days and Miss Boothbay when he was fourteen. He is also a Registered Maine Guide. When not on the water in Boothbay he works on tugboats in and out of various ports from the Bahamas to Canada. Capt. Nick also enjoys restoring and selling boats of all sizes. Recently he has restored a Mako 19, a Grady White 24 Offshore, a 28 Rampage and a 36 Columbia Sportfisherman.
